"Come, let us worship"--who issues this invitation? A sovereign God! "Worship him in spirit and in truth." But how shall mortal man worship a Being so awesome? He, Himself, tells us of the worship that pleases Him.
A person begins to know the Lord when he repents of his sins and believes in Christ as his Lord and Savior. But truly knowing God goes far beyond this first step. It is a living relationship with a living God.
Are family devotions important? Do they have anything to do with the well-being of our families? Are there ways in which we can make our family devotions interesting and relevant to our children? What are your family devotions like?
"Flee idolatry", the Apostle Paul wrote long ago. Can we recognize what idolatry looks like today? And once we recognize what it is that is filling the place of GOD in our lives, do we know how to flee from it?
